Train trip - Liverpool leg

hello...catching up. Not going to be here long becuz this internet cafe is pricey at 1£ every 20 minutes. That's like about 1.70 US.
We're on the 3rd day of our train trip. It's been kind of drive-by look at England. We missed our first train out of London, due to problems on the tube so our fantasy of walking around Nottingham and seeing the Robin Hood Statue and caves went unfulfilled. We had 45 minutes so I didn't want to miss our train to Liverpool to meet our cousin Roger.
We got to Liverpool, I didn't know what he looked like but I had a feeling and spotted him in the crowd. Sure enough! He was absolutely great! 83 years young and going strong. He was thrilled to see us. He told us many times that he spends most of his time alone and have too 'young ladies' as company meant alot to him. It meant alot to us as well. First he had the taxi driver loop around the city for us and see the cathedrals...3 before it got dark. One was bombed out in WW 2 and never rebuilt. It was just a glorious old shell with trees growing straight up and tall thru the middle. He told us that in WW 2 they mentioned that 'north england' was bombed but really it was Liverpool that took the hit. 125,000 dead. He also said the old Harries family home took a hit. But noone was injured. Thats why they ended up after that on Edgeware street.
We went to his home and had some wine and poured over old family photos. I saw some very old childhood photos of my grandmother Phyliss and her 11 siblings and saw a photos of her sister who died when she was 11 Miriam.
OOps... my 20 minutes here are up... more at a cheaper internet cafe later............we're currently in the city of BATH.
